ENGAGE™ 8157

ENGAGE™ 8157 offers excellent flow characteristics and outstanding impact performance when blended with polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). It is widely used in TPO applications requiring superior low-temperature impact performance.

Where ENGAGE™ 8157 fits

ENGAGE™ 8157 has a typical density of 0.868 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 0.5 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg), which makes it a soft, low-flow grade in the Dow ENGAGE range. Grades in this window are typically used for:

  • Impact modification of PP and TPO compounds, especially for low-temperature toughness
  • Extruded profiles, hoses, and wire and cable compounds
  • Foams and soft compounds where melt strength matters
