SK SOLUMER™ Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) is a premium line of ethylene-based copolymers produced by SK Functional Polymer (part of the SK Group) using their advanced Nexlene™ metallocene technology.

SK SOLUMER POE grades at a glance
SOLUMER™ polyolefin elastomers are ethylene-based copolymers made with the SK Group’s Nexlene™ metallocene technology. The 14 grades we list run from 0.857 to 0.885 g/cm³ and from 0.5 to 30 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg). Within each density step the grades differ mainly in melt flow, so you can tune processing without moving far on hardness.

How to choose a SOLUMER grade
- Very soft: 8605 and 851T (0.857 g/cm³, 1 g/10 min) for maximum low-temperature impact.
- Soft, by melt flow: 8605L (0.5), 861L (1), 865L (5) and 8613L (13 g/10 min), all at 0.863 g/cm³.
- General purpose at 0.868 g/cm³: 8705L (0.5), 871 and 871L (1), 875L (5) and 8730L (30 g/10 min) cover extrusion through high-flow injection moulding of PP compounds.
- Stiffer: 881 (0.880, 1), 883 (0.880, 3) and 891 (0.885, 1) where stiffness and heat resistance matter more than softness.

Which SOLUMER grade matches ENGAGE 8150?
SOLUMER 8705L shares its nominal 0.868 g/cm³ and 0.5 g/10 min, as do Dow ENGAGE 8150, SABIC FORTIFY C0570D and Borealis Queo 6800LA. For ENGAGE 8842 or FORTIFY C1055D (0.857 g/cm³, 1 g/10 min), look at SOLUMER 8605 or 851T.
Which grades match FORTIFY C1070 or Exact 5171?
SOLUMER 871 and 871L (0.868 g/cm³, 1 g/10 min) sit at the same nominal point as FORTIFY C1070 and Exact 5171. A short trial is still advisable.
