Polyolefin Resins
PP Resin Supplier
Polypropylene · The Second-Most Produced Plastic
Polypropylene (PP) is the world’s second-most produced commodity plastic, with annual global capacity exceeding 80 million tons. Through chain-growth polymerization of propylene monomer — using Ziegler-Natta or metallocene catalysts — PP can be engineered into homopolymers (PPH), random copolymers (PPR), block copolymers (PPB), impact copolymers (PPIC), and specialty modified grades. Each variant targets specific applications from woven sacks to PPR hot water pipes to automotive bumpers. As a PP resin supplier, Sychem partners with leading global suppliers — LyondellBasell, Borealis-Borouge, ExxonMobil, SABIC — and works closely with top-tier Chinese producers to deliver complete PP solutions for packaging, fiber, pipe, automotive, and industrial applications.
Polypropylene Types
PP is engineered into five major categories through different polymerization recipes and additive packages. Each variant balances rigidity, toughness, transparency, and heat performance for specific application demands.
PP Homopolymer
Pure propylene homopolymer. Highly regular molecular chain delivers the highest rigidity, stiffness, and chemical resistance of all PP types. HDT typically exceeds 100°C.
PP Random Copolymer
Random incorporation of ethylene reduces crystallinity and melting point, delivering excellent clarity, flexibility, and long-term hydrostatic pressure resistance for hot/cold water systems.
PP Block Copolymer
Co-monomer units arranged in regular blocks rather than randomly. Improved low-temperature impact resistance and toughness while retaining good rigidity and heat resistance.
PP Impact Copolymer
Two-phase morphology with ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) dispersed in PP matrix via multi-stage polymerization. Exceptional low-temperature impact resistance — far superior to PPH and PPR.
Specialty PP Grades
Engineered grades including glass-fiber reinforced (GF), flame-retardant (V-0/V-2), sorbitol-nucleated transparent, EPDM/POE-toughened, antistatic/conductive, and weather-resistant variants.

Applications
From woven sacks to BOPP food packaging, from PPR hot-water plumbing to automotive bumpers — PP is the workhorse polymer that touches every aspect of daily life and industry.
Packaging & Films
Woven sacks, FIBC bulk bags, raffia, BOPP food packaging, CPP cast films, retort pouches, transparent food containers, microwaveable lunch boxes, IML containers, beverage caps, and biscuit trays. PP dominates flexible and rigid food packaging worldwide.
Fiber & Nonwovens
Spunbond and meltblown nonwovens for hygiene products (diapers, sanitary napkins), surgical masks, medical gowns, geotextiles, carpet backing, BCF carpet fiber, monofilament for ropes and brushes, fibrillated tape yarns, and twisted twines. PP is the universal fiber polymer.
Pipe & Plumbing
PPR hot & cold water pipes (the global standard for residential plumbing), PP-RCT for higher-temperature service, sanitary fittings, valve bodies, chemical industry pipe lining, drainage pipes, industrial filtration housings, and underfloor heating systems.
Automotive & Industrial
Bumpers, instrument panels, door trim, battery cases, air ducts, glove boxes (PPIC); GF-PP for engineering parts (cooling fans, structural brackets); battery separator films; consumer goods (luggage, sporting goods); appliance components (washing machine drums, refrigerator parts).
