Where Exact™ 5171 fits
Exact™ 5171 has a typical density of 0.868 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 1 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg), which makes it a soft, low-flow grade in the ExxonMobil Exact range. Grades in this window are typically used for:
- Impact modification of PP and TPO compounds, especially for low-temperature toughness
- Extruded profiles, hoses, and wire and cable compounds
- Foams and soft compounds where melt strength matters
Similar grades from other producers
These grades share the same nominal density (0.868 g/cm³) and melt flow (1 g/10 min): FORTIFY™ C1070, FORTIFY™ C1070D, FORTIFY™ C11075DF, Solumer 871 and Solumer 871L. Comonomer, molecular-weight distribution and additive package still differ, so confirm with a short trial before you switch.
