Unitechem HALS 944
Unitechem HALS 944 (Light Stabilizer 944) is a polymeric, high-molecular-weight hindered amine light stabilizer. Its low volatility, low migration and high extraction resistance make it the general-purpose long-term UV stabilizer for PE and PP films, tapes, fibers and molded parts, and it is often blended with HALS 622 or HALS 770. Compare it with the other grades in our HALS UV stabilizer guide, or request the TDS and a quote.
Poly{[6-[(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diyl][(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)imino]-1,6-hexanediyl[(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)imino]}
Key Features
|
Polymeric, high-molecular-weight HALS with excellent low volatility |
Low migration and high extraction resistance — ideal for thin articles, fibers and films |
|
High thermal stability — stable under thermo-oxidative conditions; additional antioxidant effect |
Synergistic effect with UV absorbers (e.g., UV-770, UV-3853, LS-622) |
|
FDA approved for food contact applications (21 CFR) |
Provides long-term thermal stabilization of polymer matrices |
Applications
LS-944 is effective across a broad range of polymers: polyolefins (PE, PP), crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE), olefin copolymers (EVA), TPO, polyurethane fibers, flexible and rigid PVC, styrenic polymers, TPE, and specialty adhesives. Particularly recommended for thin-walled products, films and fibers where low migration is critical.
