LUCENETM LC160 is an outstanding plastic impact modifier that provides unique properties for composite products.
Applications
- General-purpose thermoplastic elastomers for polymer modification.
- Automotive interior and exterior, shoe soles, wire and cable.
| Property | Test Method | Unit | Value |
|---|---|---|---|

Where Lucene LC160 fits
Lucene LC160 has a typical density of 0.863 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 0.5 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg), which makes it a soft, low-flow grade in the LG Lucene range. Grades in this window are typically used for:
- Impact modification of PP and TPO compounds, especially for low-temperature toughness
- Extruded profiles, hoses, and wire and cable compounds
- Foams and soft compounds where melt strength matters
Similar grades from other producers
These grades share the same nominal density (0.863 g/cm³) and melt flow (0.5 g/10 min): ENGAGE™ 8180, ENGAGE™ 8187, Exact™ 9061 and Solumer 8605L. Comonomer, molecular-weight distribution and additive package still differ, so confirm with a short trial before you switch.
