ENGAGE™ 8402
ENGAGE™ 8402 is an ethylene-octene copolymer offering outstanding performance in durable, flexible injection-molded industrial and consumer goods. It provides high clarity for products requiring visual inspection, and allows the use of hot runner tooling to improve production efficiency. Its low density also helps control resin and production costs while reducing the overall weight of finished products.

ENGAGE™ 8402 has a typical density of 0.902 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 30 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg), which makes it a stiff, plastomer-like, high-flow grade in the Dow ENGAGE range. Grades in this window are typically used for:
- Film and packaging modification, including sealing layers
- Impact modification where stiffness and heat resistance must be kept
- Plastomer-type applications that need more rigidity than a soft POE
