ENGAGE™ 7270
ENGAGE™ 7270 is a general-purpose copolymer designed to provide an excellent cost/performance balance for polymer modification applications. Its key characteristics are pellet form and polymer modifiability.
| Property | Typical Value | Test Method |
|---|---|---|
| Density | 0.88 g/cm³ | ASTM D792 |
| Melt Flow Index (190°C / 2.16 kg) | 0.8 g/10 min | ASTM D1238 |
Where ENGAGE™ 7270 fits
ENGAGE™ 7270 has a typical density of 0.880 g/cm³ and a melt flow rate of 0.8 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg), which makes it a semi-rigid, low-flow grade in the Dow ENGAGE range. Grades in this window are typically used for:
- Impact modification of PP where more stiffness has to be kept
- Film modification and sealing layers
- Compounds that need a balance of toughness and modulus
