TPV
What Is TPV?
TPV is a fully dynamically-vulcanized elastomer — microscopic EPDM rubber particles are crosslinked and dispersed throughout a polypropylene matrix. It behaves like rubber but processes like a thermoplastic.
Widely specified by automotive OEMs globally, TPV is the premier choice for sealing systems, dust boots and weatherstripping — steadily displacing EPDM rubber due to its lighter weight, recyclability and superior processing efficiency.
High Temperature Resistance
Maintains mechanical performance from −50°C to 135°C, suitable for underhood automotive applications.
Fully Recyclable
Unlike thermoset EPDM rubber, TPV can be re-melted and reprocessed — supporting circular economy goals.
Fast Processing
No vulcanization curing required. Runs on standard injection and extrusion lines, reducing cycle time significantly.
Where TPV Performs
Automotive Seals
Door seals, window seals, cowl / drip rail covers, luggage rack seals. Displacing EPDM across major OEM platforms.
Suspension Dust Boots
Shock absorber and steering rack dust covers — blow-molded TPV achieves 50% weight reduction vs. thermoset rubber.
EV Charging Port Seals
High-flow TPV grades bond to PP, ABS, PA substrates — ideal for EV charging and fuel cap sealing applications.
Building & Construction
Window and door profiles, pipe gaskets, weatherstripping and expansion joints with excellent long-term UV resistance.
Industrial Seals & Hose
Seals, gaskets, hydraulic hose washers. Excellent chemical and flex-fatigue resistance for harsh environments.
EV Coolant Hose
Select TPV grades are ISCC PLUS certified with bio/circular feedstock options for EV thermal management hose.
