TPV

Thermoplastic Vulcanizate — The Crown Jewel of TPE
Max 135°C40A – 60D RecyclableLow Compression Set RoHS CompliantInjection / Extrusion / Blow Molding
Material Overview

What Is TPV?

TPV is a fully dynamically-vulcanized elastomer — microscopic EPDM rubber particles are crosslinked and dispersed throughout a polypropylene matrix. It behaves like rubber but processes like a thermoplastic.

Widely specified by automotive OEMs globally, TPV is the premier choice for sealing systems, dust boots and weatherstripping — steadily displacing EPDM rubber due to its lighter weight, recyclability and superior processing efficiency.

135°C

High Temperature Resistance

Maintains mechanical performance from −50°C to 135°C, suitable for underhood automotive applications.

Fully Recyclable

Unlike thermoset EPDM rubber, TPV can be re-melted and reprocessed — supporting circular economy goals.

Fast Processing

No vulcanization curing required. Runs on standard injection and extrusion lines, reducing cycle time significantly.
